Students enrolled in IUPUI’s Microcomputer Applications in Kinesiology course measured human fitness and performance using sensors attached to the body and connected via Bluetooth to Android tablets. In this session, the course instructors will share how they administered the tablets, discuss findings from class surveys, and provide attendees opportunity to use the tablets to measure movement.

In a discussion of this course, faculty from the Department of Communication Studies will explore the challenges of online instruction, objectives, course outcomes, and needs for technological solutions, such as Adobe Connect and Course Networking. They will share course assessment strategies, including comparisons with face-to-face learning.
